Objectives

• To reassess the annual results of the activities of the Forum
• To design a strategy for the future activities of the Forum
• To discuss the needs of the Forum members and co-ordinators
• To introduce and engage new members to the Forum

Draft Agenda

Wednesday 29 March Understanding the Forum

Purpose:

To recognise the different levels of experience of the Forum within the group and to begin to ensure that all understand the Forum, its function and its achievements.

Session One:

• Brief Introductions (plenary)
• Explanation of the agenda (plenary)
• Groundrules Session Two:
• Explaining the Forum & its activities (plenary - led by the core members)
• Response from new members - expectations (groups)

Thursday 30 March Assessing current needs

Purpose:

To assess the individual needs of the Forum members and to begin to formulate ways of addressing these needs.

Session One: Discussion of the needs of the Forum and its members

Brainstorm (plenary) Identifying main themes and establishing working groups

Session Two: Working groups/discussion of emerging themes Friday 31 March

Working on priority tasks

Purpose:

For the Forum members to work collaboratively on agreed priority tasks and professional learning Continuation of working groups - option to have input from Forum members on aspects of professional development. - groups could also work on plans for different regions.

Saturday 1 April Pulling it all together

Purpose:

To have some free time and to reflect on the first three days. The morning could be used for free time or for previously established groups to continue working. The participants will come back together by 1600 to evaluate the meeting. This day also offers the opportunity for the Forum co-ordinators to meet together. Close
